Innovative Tableware from Plants, Not Oil

Repurpose® founder & CEO Lauren Gropper is said to have dreamed about creating an everyday product that could impact millions of people. And we think she and her team have done just that.

In their own words (source – https://www.linkedin.com/company/777024/)

Repurpose was founded in 2010 by a group of eco-entrepreneurs driven to positively impact the environment by changing everyday behavior. Realizing the devastating effect single-use plastics were having on the environment and the fact that no alternatives existed for the consumer, Repurpose decided to manufacture its own. Repurpose, a line of sustainable tableware that looks out for the health of you, your family, and the planet, was born. Our mission is to reduce the amount of plastics in our environment and offer guilt-free, renewable alternatives. By purchasing from Repurpose, consumers support a woman-owned, sustainable company that is changing the world—one cup, fork and plate at a time.

Sustainable Packaging Restoring Landscapes

Founded by Cal Poly San Luis Obispo graduate Alex HenigeReduce. Reuse. Grow.(www.reducereusegrow.org) aims to become the World’s most recognized sustainable packaging company. Through their “Buy a Cup, Grow a Plant ™ Program” for every 100% compostable packaging product sold in a given community, a plant is planted in a local restoration project.

Whale Rock Reservoir near Cayucos in San Luis Obispo County, California is the company’s pilot restoration site. The team will plant 1-3 acres totaling over 500,000 new native plants to help reduce runoff and improve the wildlife habitat at this location.
