Sustainable Packaging Restoring Landscapes

Founded by Cal Poly San Luis Obispo graduate Alex Henige, Reduce. Reuse. Grow.(www.reducereusegrow.org) aims to become the World’s most recognized sustainable packaging company. Through their “Buy a Cup, Grow a Plant ™ Program” for every 100% compostable packaging product sold in a given community, a plant is planted in a local restoration project.

Whale Rock Reservoir near Cayucos in San Luis Obispo County, California is the company’s pilot restoration site. The team will plant 1-3 acres totaling over 500,000 new native plants to help reduce runoff and improve the wildlife habitat at this location.
